Frequent questions and answers

About Colombia:

Visas & Passports

You must have a valid passport. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.

Citizens of the United Kingdom and most European countries, as well as Australians, New Zealanders, Americans and Canadians, do not require a visa and will receive a 90-day entry permit upon arrival.

It is your responsibility to arrange visas prior to departure if necessary.

90% of Colombia’s territory is located north of the equator, with the Department of Amazonas to the south. Although the territory is completely in the Intertropical Zone, the climates of the different regions vary considerably thanks to the different altitudes.

Food and Beverages

The 3 meals are included in the tour price, as well as water and fruit during the tour. If you have a special diet, please let us know at the time of booking. Most diets can be catered for, but it is always important to inform us in advance.

The Colombian meal is based on meat and fried foods, and lots of fruit but we can accommodate vegetarians. Breakfast is considered an important meal in Colombia and includes fruit juice, coffee or hot chocolate, fruit, eggs and bread. In rural areas, lunch (served between 12 and 4pm, is usually the main meal of the day). A traditional Colombian meal begins with soup, followed by a main course, a drink and sometimes a dessert, usually very sweet. Dinner is lighter. Obviously, in view of the efforts made, they will be adapted and we will make up for the calories expended. You will be amazed by the abundance and flavours of fresh fruit in Colombia.

We strongly recommend that you contact your physician prior to your trip so that he or she can advise you on any necessary vaccinations.

The existence of Covid-19 adds a number of new safety protocols to our current practices, and while we cannot eliminate all risks, we can significantly reduce them by establishing hygiene and physical distance protocols.

A negative Covid PCR test or vaccination will be required to participate in our tours.

This is to increase the safety of you, your companions and staff, as well as the local populations along the route.

It is compulsory to be well insured for the duration of your trip to ensure your peace of mind and comfort. Make sure you take out good insurance covering your entire stay as you would for any trip abroad.
